Pain

Our body feels pain to warn us of danger. The brain registers something is wrong and signals the pain receptors to activate for us to pay attention. But we also feel pain to remind us that we are alive. That pain can by emotional or physical.

Some of us actively seek out pain whether it be physical or emotional. Sometimes we learn from that pain but sometimes we don’t.

Others choose to numb the pain so they don’t have to face up to reality or take responsibility.

But what if feeling nothing is the worst pain of all and what if the sharing of pain connects us to each-other and reminds us that really none of us are alone and we are all connected. We are all one.

If the experience of pain brought about the realisation of Oneness, of us all being one, of our tribal village all connected as one. Then that pain has served us well – David Ellis
