What is the Positive Mind Clinic?
The Positive Mind Clinic was set up by David Ellis to create a sacred healing environment without judgement or shame. Sacred, because within each and every one of us we hold the spark of Divinity. A space where healing can occur using holistic and traditional modalities combined.
Where are we located?
The Positive Mind Clinic is located in the picturesque mountainside of Monalea, close to Gorey and Arklow.
Meet David Ellis
David has been a Holistic Therapist since 1998. Using his life experience and academic learning, he helps clients to reduce stress in their lives. He is a practitioner in the areas of Stress Management, Hypnotherapy, Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Colour Therapy, Crystal Therapy and REIKI.
David works with private individuals and business people on a One to One basis and works with corporate groups, classes, workshops, seminars and meditation/mindfulness groups. He specialises in helping people to manage their Mind Matters so they can focus on Living.
“Stress, anxiety, depression and addiction can destroy our true potential, both in the work and living environments”, says David.
David incorporates his own personal experience of stress, depression, and sexual orientation confusion in empathising with others. He also draws on the wealth of knowledge accumulated from super successes and super failures in the business world. David encourages his clients in their healing and personal growth, through empathy, non–judgement and caring.
He is a dedicated specialist in helping people to overcome the issues faced in all areas of life and work. Most noteworthy is David’s help in dealing with stress, self-esteem, confidence, addictions and sexuality orientation.
His approach is Therapist Centred or Therapist Directive, whereby the therapist directs each session and encourages the client to take responsibility for their lives and the steps they need to take, in order to resolve their inner conflicts.
He uses a number of modalities, depending on the issues at hand. Those modalities can include,:Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Stress Management, Mindfulness Meditation, the emphasis always on a holistic approach.
In conclusion, David’s belief is that through non-judgemental, empathetic, reflective listening we can begin to open up to communication. We have within us the tools to undo fears and anxiety. This allows us to be free of internal dialogue of shame and guilt.
An experienced Stress Management Therapist, David has helped many people to overcome stress in both the Corporate and Personal environment. Stress is the foundation for bad health and depression and alleviating stress now will eliminate the impact of long term issues in the future.
David has been a practicing Therapist since 1998, with many certificates and learning, but his academic learning is but a shadow of his personal life experience. He has worked with many clients with diverse issues which include; Stress, Depression, Self Esteem, Sexuality Orientation Confusion and Fear, Addictions and Substance Abuse.
Using a Holistic approach, David combines his skills and qualification in hypnotherapy to help clients manage their lives in a self fulfilling way. Using Hypnosis, David helps his clients to make the changes they need and maintain this change so they can live their lives to their true potential. Hypnosis is very effective in areas such as Self Confidence, Phobias, Addiction, Weight Loss, OCD, Depression, Neuroses, to mention but a few.
Meditation is a part of David’s own daily routine as a standard practice. He also delivers classes in Meditation. He encourages his clients to spend time in Meditation for a short period each day. His Guided Meditation is on YouTube and is available to download for free here on this site.
